Official Rules for 2024 Bloomfield Branch Membership Campaign Sweepstakes
1. ELIGIBILITY: Drawing participants must be at least 18 years old at the time of entry. Membership with Dutch Point Credit Union required. Employees and Directors of Dutch Point Credit Union, Inc. ("Sponsor"), are not eligible. By entering, you agree to these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor, which are final and binding in all respects.
2. PROMOTIONAL PERIOD: Promotional period begins on 12/2/2024 and ends on 2/28/2025.
3. ENTRY: To be entered in the Drawings, the new member must open a savings account and a checking account, and submit a completed sweepstakes coupon at time of account opening. The account must remain open for a minimum of 30 days in order for the new member to be eligible. To enter the Drawings without opening an account at Dutch Point or referring a new member to Dutch Point, you must be a legal resident of CT. Clearly print name, address, phone number, and “Membership Promo Sweepstakes” on a plain white sheet of paper and mail in an envelope to Dutch Point Credit Union, Attn: Marketing, 195 Silas Deane Highway, Wethersfield, CT 06109. Valid entries must be received by 5:00 p.m. on February 28, 2025.
4. DRAWING: Three $100 deposits will be awarded to either a new member who opened their savings and checking account during each calendar month in the promotional period, or a referring member who referred a new member to the credit union. The new member must open a savings and checking account. The new member cannot be an existing member of the credit union or joint on an existing account. Drawings for each month will take place 30 days after the last calendar day of the month.
5. PRIZE/ODDS: Odds of winning depend on the number of entries received prior to the drawings for each of the drawings scheduled. No assignment, transfer or substitution of prize is permitted.
6. GENERAL CONDITIONS: Winners who are of the legal age of majority, by entering the drawing, agree to grant to Sponsor, the right to print, publish, broadcast and use, in any media including but not limited to the World Wide Web, at any time or times, their names and pictures for Sponsor’s advertising and promotional purposes without additional consideration. Further, by accepting a prize, winners agree to release Sponsor from any and all liability arising from acceptance, possession, use, loss or misuse of the prize.
7. LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY: Sponsor is not responsible for any injury, loss or damage of any kind resulting from participation in this sweepstakes or acceptance, possession, loss or use of the Prize. Sponsor is not responsible for any applications that are received after the promotional period. Winner is responsible for any taxes. Subject to certain exceptions, the cash value of the Prize must be included on your tax return as taxable income. Please consult your tax advisor. The promotion and drawing are governed by these Official Rules and the laws of the State of Connecticut.
8. NOTICE TO WINNER: The Winners will be notified by mail sent to the address shown on their Dutch Point Credit Union Account or the mailed in entry.
9. UNCLAIMED PRIZES/INABILITY TO CONTACT WINNER: If Sponsor is unable to contact the Winner by mail within 30 days from the date notification is sent, the Prize will be forfeited and another name will be drawn and such prize awarded to the next person whose registration form is drawn. Illegible registration forms will not be considered.
10. PUBLICITY: Each Winner agrees to permit Dutch Point Credit Union to utilize his/her name and likeness in promotional and other Dutch Point Credit Union materials, without additional compensation or permission, except where prohibited by law. The Winner’s name will be available at all Dutch Point Credit Union offices.
