Dutch Point's President Recognized as One of The 2022 Most Powerful Women in Credit Unions

Charlyn Tanner PresidentCharlyn Tanner, President of Dutch Point Credit Union, has been selected as a 2022 recipient of American Banker’s Most Powerful Women in Credit Unions.

The acknowledgement, according to the publication, honors “the growing impact that women are having on the banking industry” and the “many trailblazers who are leading the way for others in this once male-dominated area.”

“Charlyn’s impact on Dutch Point Credit Union’s operation, productivity and community involvement has been extraordinary,” said Anthony Sacchetti, Chief Member Experience Officer. “Her commitment to her profession, co-workers and community has made Dutch Point a stronger, more agile business and a more forward-thinking institution.”

Tanner was acknowledged by American Banker for the many initiatives she has led in her 17-year career at Dutch Point. Tanner has supported women wanting to rise in credit union leadership by sharing stories of both success and failure; reaction to failure truly defines the type of leader a woman can become. Tanner is a strong supporter for promoting from within the credit union. She formed a committee to develop a Human Resources three-year strategic plan. She believes this is an important program to align the credit union’s people strategy with their business strategy.

“It’s amazing to be recognized for my accomplishments and commitment to Dutch Point Credit Union, our members and the communities we serve. To be included with this amazing group of nominees this year, I feel honored just to be among them”, said Tanner.
